The Drag 3 has returned to its beginnings as a mod first and foremost, with the ability to use Pods as a secondary option. The pod compartment recess in the device’s body, which was offered with the Drag S/X series and Argus GT, has been replaced with a spring-loaded 510, allowing you to use your favorite atomizer on top if you don’t want to use the included Pod Tank.

That isn’t to suggest that Voopoo has abandoned Pods. Instead of a sub-ohm tank, they’ve included a new Pod Tank and new Pod design in the box. This Pod tank is a more advanced version of the one that came with the Argus GT. This time, though, they’ve introduced some additional coils and redesigned Pod to accommodate them. The TPP Pod is somewhat taller than the original, with a lot bigger coil recess and a few additional upgrades over the original. Don’t worry, the PnP coils and pods aren’t going anywhere.  Because of its plug-and-play nature, this new Pod tank can still be utilized with your PnP Pod and coils. The redesigned Pod Tank foundation may be utilized with both types of pods.

This twin 18650 powered device, with a maximum output of 177 Watts, retains all of the glory of the original Drag while adding some modern conveniences. The Voopoo Drag 3’s interface is based on the Drag S/X series, with a bright screen, simple controls, and an intuitive design.

You’ll find three distinct user modes on the 1.08in color TFT screen. Which are Variable Wattage, RBA mode, and Smart Mode.   Then a Super mode after you hit 80Watts. Temperature control isn’t included in the default basic chip, but it’s still accessible via a Voopoo website software upgrade.

Drag Body

The Voopoo Drag 3 Mod is a trendy and modern vape mod that measures around 86 x 52 x 25mm and is built of lightweight Zinc Alloy with a leather insert in the heal. With its chamfered edges and recognizable front display screen, the style is a bit of a mix of the previous Drag vape mods.

On top, there’s a 510 connector that’s spring-loaded, allowing you to use almost any tank. It appears to be slightly elevated, perhaps by 1/2 mm, so it’s hardly perceptible but just enough to keep those tanks from sticking to the top.

The Voopoo Drag 3 mod features a big circular fire button, 1.08in color TFT screen, two smaller up/down buttons, and a USB Type-C charging and update connection are all found on the display panel’s front edge.

The sides of the device are devoid of buttons and other embellishments, but the front retains the Drag style with molded Zinc Alloy and a leather insert that begins around midway and extends around the rear heel. This cushioned leather insert has a great hand feel and is a touch cushiony.

You’ll discover your battery tray underneath the Voopoo Drag 3, which is a simple slide and open thing that will hold two 18650 batteries.
