VUSE Alto Power Unit Kit

The Vuse Alto vape is a low-profile starter vape that comes with pre-filled flavors. However, each vendor is not currently selling these as full pod kits.  Please check the specific vendor links to find out if the vape deal price includes pods.  Some vendors may only be selling the battery unit and the pods need to be purchased separately.

The Alto battery has a rating of 350 mAh and has an integrated automated draw, also known as a draw-activated or automatic firing mechanism. The Alto battery accepts 1.8 mL pods that are prefilled with your choice of tobacco or menthol flavors. Nicotine concentrations range from 5.0 percent to 2.4 percent to 1.8 percent.  Currently, there may only be three flavors that are available in various tobacco and menthol flavors. The packs come in sets of 4 or 2 pods.

Alto Design

The JUUL and the Vuse Alto Pod stick are extremely similar. It’s a tiny stick-style battery that powers pre-filled drop-in pods with flavored e-juice and nicotine. These devices are referred to as pod stick vapes or beginning vapes.

The whole Alto unit weighs approximately 22g with the pod connected. It’s slightly heavier than the JUUL  pod system.  The Vuse Alto vape is an extremely lightweight pod system that is hardly felt when in a pocket or purse.  The Alto’s pod is constructed of durable clear plastic, with a slightly flattened black mouthpiece. It’s also a little curved, which makes it extremely pleasant on the lips.  This is one of the most pleasant mouthpieces offered on a beginning vape or pod system.

Pod Cartridges & Alto Pods

It takes more effort to open the box than it does to start vaping with the Vuse Alto pod stick. It’s a one-step procedure after you take the kit out of the box. Simply place a pod in the magnetic casing and pull in through the pod’s mouth tip. Because the pod has an automatic draw system, there is no on or off button on the Alto battery unit.

Magnets keep the pods in place. The magnets are not super strong but they keep the pod cartridges in place. In addition, the pods have some wiggle space. If the battery holder is dropped, the pods will come out. That’s inconvenient, but it occurs with almost every pod system on the market today.

Vuse Alto Vs JUUL

The Vuse Alto features a cigarette-like pull that is even tighter than the JUUL. And it’s a monster of a hit. When comparing similar strengths, we believe it is really stronger than the JUUL.

Furthermore, the impact on the Alto pods does not seem to taper down in its hit strength or vapor production. Most individuals who have been using a JUUL on a regular basis will tell us that after a few puffs, the pods don’t strike as hard. The Alto continues to strike strongly throughout the whole pod. If you looking for a stronger hit and more consistent vapor product then the Alto is a good choice.

Alto Battery Capacity

The Alto’s battery capacity is 350 mAh, which is about typical for a pod system of this size. The battery life isn’t fantastic, but it should last a large portion of the day without having to recharge the base unit. When the Vuse Alto battery needs to be charged, a green LED in the middle of the battery flashes 10 times.

Place the bottom of the Vuse Alto battery into the magnetized charge port on the fast charging cable and connect the USB into a computer to charge it. While the Alto battery is charging, you can still use it. It takes a little over one hour to completely restore a depleted battery.

It’s worth noting that the Vuse Alto battery charging adapter is a one-of-a-kind piece of gear.  Like the JUUL charger, this isn’t a charger to throw away and you do not want to misplace it. It is not a universal Type-C USB charger, so if you lose it you will need to replace it with the same one from Vuse.

The Vuse Alto pod system is easy to use.  Simply charge it up and vape.  There is no need to rebuild anything like some more involved types of vapes.  When the pod stick stops producing vapor you just need to replace the pod cartridge with a new one.  For the most part, the pod system works correctly.  But as with all pod systems, sometimes you may run into a bad cartridge. When the Vuse Alto vape is functioning correctly it works better than the average pod stick.
